NaPoWriMo #12 | Terraced Puzzles

Another short poem for NaPoWriMo today. This one was inspired by a sight I saw in the valleys. It was a row of terraced houses on a road with their roofs forming a straight gradient.

Terraced Puzzles

Houses on a hill
arrange in a line,
somehow in order
with diagonal roofs,
roofs which usually
form steps up
the mountainside.
To solve the puzzle,
one must break
the diagonal grade.
